It is this call to action issued by the United Nations recently that provides the back drop and inspiration for the development of our next major Television project called “ARCADIA”. Several years in the making, the project has recently secured development financing and is currently in negotiations with several Los Angeles based screenwriters to rewrite an original story created by Salyer and John Quigley and written by Salyer and Clark Kline.
It’s Science Fiction genre– intended as an 8-part Original Drama Series which will go to market in the late winter of 2019. Netflix, the most valuable media company in the world, is the primary target. The show’s Producers have been meeting with major Hollywood talent over the past several months.
“ARCADIA” is a Cautionary Tale that opens in the future year 2070 with only 2 groups thought to exist.
One group, more militant, lives deep underground in a nuclear missile silo and the second group, living on the surface–more scientific–trained to survive on Mars and able to convert carbon dioxide to oxygen.
It’s unsure what happened to the earth. The air is unbreathable, drinkable water is scarce and time is running out.
A time capsule is found that reveals what went wrong as well as a new Directive that, if followed, will help the 2 groups survive together.
